But... if you like an old-timey, rustic, genuine, friendly, no pressure, don't have to remortgage the house to stay here kind of place, then this is for you!!! A fire on the beautiful rock beach at sunset is priceless. One of my absolute favorite things in the world to do : ) Kayaks on the inlet are so much fun - easier here than on the lake. "I found this place while driving the Island looking around for the sunset, hubby and I drove through the drive way to the beach. I saw the sign,that said "guest and friends welcome" and that was my green light to stay and watch the sunset. It was stunning. That day hubby and I agreed to came back to the Island and stay at Gibson's.We had a awesome weekend. We bought friends this time. Cabins are confortable,private pebble beach,perfect sunsets."
"Old fashioned, quiet, friendly, polite, homely and absolutely wonderful. If you want AC, loud music, thumping nightlife and a mini bar, it's not for you. If on the other hand you like old-school honesty and hospitality, you'll feel very much at home. Can't wait to find an excuse to travel another 4,000 miles to visit again. Thank you!"
"We stayed in cabin #5 and were immediately taken by its nostalgic charm. The quaint cabin was perfect for everything we needed as a home base to explore the islands. In the evenings we enjoyed relaxing on the beach with our own fire watching the beautiful sunset. At night we were put to sleep with the waves crashing on the shore. Highly recommend!"
